On October 13^th, 1993 the Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 6-3 to capture their 5^th NL Pennant beating the Braves 4 games to 2.  Phillies pitcher Curt Schilling was the NLCS MVP.

On the unlucky 13^th of October in 1915, the Phillies lost 5-4 to the Boston Red Sox and were defeated 4 games to 1 in their 1^st World Series appearance.
