On April 26^th, 1997, Flyers Rod Brind’ Amour scored two shorthanded goals on the same shorthand in a 6-3 playoff win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The win gave the Flyers a 4-1 series win over the Penguins.

On April 24^th, 1967 the Sixers defeated the San Francisco Warriors 125-122 in game 6 of the NBA Finals to win the series 4 games to 2. The win gave the Sixers their second NBA championship in franchise history, the 1st as Sixers.  Wilt Chamberlain averaged 28.5 rebounds a game for the Sixers, and Hal Greer averaged 26 points.

On April 22^nd 2018, Flyers Sean Couturier scored 3 goals and added two assists for a 5-point playoff night. The Flyers lost 8-5 to the Pittsburgh Penguins and were eliminated 4 games to 2.

On April 21st, 2018, Sixers rookie Ben Simmons became just the 5^th NBA rookie to ever have a triple double in an NBA playoff game, and the 1st since 1980, in a 106-102 game 4 win over the Miami Heat (Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry Lucas, and Tom Gola).

On April 17^th, 1965 Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Don Drysdale had 4 strikeouts against the Phillies in the 2^nd inning of a Phillies 3-2 win. It was just the 11^th 4-strikeout inning in MLB modern era.

On April 17^th, 1976 in a game against the Chicago Cubs, Mike Schmidt not only hit 4 Home Runs, but three of the four were off brothers. Schmidt hit his first two off starter Rick Reuschel, his 3^rd off Mike Garman, and his 4^th off Paul Reuschel. Schmidt finished with 8 RBIs. The game at Wrigley Field featured 9 home runs (6 by the Phils) and was won by the Phillies 18-16 in 10 innings.

On April 16^th, 2018, Phillies relief pitcher Victor Arano threw a perfect 8th inning vs Atlanta Braves in a 2-1 loss, getting 3 outs on 3 pitches. The outs were the 20^th, 21^st, and 22^nd consecutive outs (6 appearances) for Arano to start the 2018 season.

On April 14^th, 2018, the Sixers scored 18 3-point buckets in a 130-103 game 1 win over the Miami Heat in the 2018 playoffs. The Sixers shattered their previous team record of 11  3-pointers in a playoff game.  Six days later, in game 3 of the series, the Sixers once again hit 18 3-pointers in a 128-108 game 3 win.

On April 14^th, 2005, the Sixers scored a team-record 22 points in overtime in a 126-119 victory over the Miami Heat.
