Philly by the Numbers congratulates Flyers legend Reggie Leach on his selection to the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame, as part of the class of 2018!

Did you know… Reggie Leach scored 19 goals in the 1975-76 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs earning him the league’s Conn Smythe Trophy as MVP of the playoffs.  Leach remains the only non-goalie to win the award for a non-Cup winning team.

Did you know… On May 6^th, 1976, Flyer winger Reggie Leach scored 5 goals against the Boston Bruins in a playoff game giving the Flyers a 6-3 win and closing out the Bruins 4 games to 1. The Flyers went on to their 3^rd consecutive Stanley Cup Final but lost to the Montreal Canadiens. Leach’s 5-goal game is the only one in team history.

Did you know… Flyers sniper Reggie Leach was the first aboriginal-born NHL player to ever have his name on the Stanley Cup.  He was part of the Flyers 2^nd Stanley Cup-winning team in 1975.
