On February 10^th, 2018 Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth became the first goalie in NHL history to come into a game in relief during a shootout and win the game.  Brian Elliott went down with an injury in the shootout’s second round.  Neuvirth stood tall against the Arizona Coyotes for 5 rounds and Nolan Patrick scored in the 7^th round to seal the 4-3 win.   Neuvy got the win giving up zero goals in zero minutes played.
