On October 20th, 1996 vs. Miami Dolphins, Eagles WR Irving Fryar had a team record-tying 4 TD catches.   He is the oldest NFL player to have 4 TD catches in one game. 

On October 20th, 1993 the Phillies lost game 4 of the 1993 World Series to the Toronto Blue Jays 15-14. The 29 total runs scored are the most for a World Series game in MLB history.

On October 17th, 1954 Eagles kicker/receiver Bobby Walston scored 25 points in a 49-21 win over the Washington Redskins. Walston scored three TDs (18 points) and had 7 PATs (7 points).
