The Phillies were defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 10-2 before a Citizen’s Bank Park crowd of 44,872 and a National TV audience. Adam Eaton took the loss. During the game, Phillies CF Michael Bourn hit his 1st and only HR as a member of the Phillies. Winning a World Series 15 months later helped soften the blow.
